Rory in his short  life won 3 CC's, one with BIS, and 1 Res CC under UK Kennel Club rules and 8 Green Stars under Irish Kennel Club rules. He was BIS at the All-Ireland GRC Championship Show. Neither of us have got over losing our lovely boy at such a young age. Rory was a dog like Ir Ch Double Trouble of Lislone - a real character who could certainly make you laugh. Even in the show-ring he kept Kate on her toes trying to keep him in one place and with all four feet on the ground. He was a sound, big, sturdy dog who loved showing. He was also an enthusiastic stud-dog who produced some lovely Goldens in a short space of time.
He had an unspectacular puppy career as he had to grow into his large frame, but when he got it all together he took off!  He won his first Green Star from Junior and by 2 years and 3 months he had his Irish title, by which time he'd also won 2 CC's in the UK, the first from Yearling. By the time he was two and a half he had both his UK and Irish Show Champion titles. Sadly three months later we had lost our lovely, loving, joyous and funny boy as the result of a bone tumour.
His sons Finnish Ch Lislone Garbank Laplander  and Uk Sh Ch/Ned/Ger/VDH Ch Garbank Lislone Jackpot, have all won well.  His daughter Lislone Garbank Ivory Lace  owned by Gillian McBride in N.Ireland keeps the flag for Rory flying there. Although shown sparingly she has won Res Green Stars at IKC Ch Shs and BOB and Groups at open shows. She is a great showgirl.
You loved life Rory and we loved you. You gave us  fun, joy, love and you were a super showman  too. You are SO much missed. Your children and grand children are carrying your flag into the future.
Your children are still being born with AI from frozen semen.
We wish them well and your young son Karvin Jordan  Rodi in Finland bred by the Karvin Kennel looks your double!  Heres Hoping .......

Rory you were a loving and lovely STAR whose light was snuffed out too soon.
